“When I came to Bradford College I was delighted to accept the privileged position of Principal. I was well aware of the excellent role the College had played in helping people advance their potential and contribute to their own and wider communities.
"Yet it was only in 2007, when I initiated the search for 175 Heroes to commemorate our 175th anniversary of providing quality education and training, that the true extent of our former students and staff's influence, not only in their own specialist fields of work but locally, nationally and internationally, became apparent and the results we revealed in July 2008 were stunning.
"Since then we have begun to gather information about more people who developed the confidence, passion, business acumen and love for learning that make a difference wherever they go. We want to share this with everyone so that people recognise the value of their experiences at Bradford College, to our alumni and friends, and also to inspire others by their example.
"On this Alumni site, we are recording, documenting and celebrating the achievements of our students and staff. This technology provides a platform for sharing memories and experiences in a very visual and creative way, and can be accessed by many thousands of people throughout the world.
"Through our Hall of Fame, Memories, Postcards, Way We Were and News we hope to reflect the diversity and achievements of all of you who whose lives’ have been touched by their time at Bradford College.
This website is for you all. Please contribute your own stories by contacting us.”
